So what happened to us:
We travelled through California in May 08. On the last day of our trip in San Frascico we wanted to return to Moki's Japanese Grill and Restaurant to have delicious sushi!
We parked our rental car, an Chevi Cobalt, my dear brother Adrian locked the car keys with all our belongings in the car's trunk!!! Only our purses were unlocked. So we were looking for a puplic phone - not so easy to find one that is working... and there was already a line in front of Moki's... we tried to call the rental company to ask for help. They told us that they will send us a "mechanic". We wated, wated, wated... Already getting despaired. Hours later, they came but didn't manage to open the trunk and left. To mention also that it was 10 o'clock by now. How to get somebody else that knew how to open the car??? With the help of Moki's owner and his team! They called at least a 100times to get somebody - and finally at about midnight, the car was unlocked!
In the middle of the dinner one of the waiters told us that there will be a surprise for us-at the end... And really, some loveley person payed our dinner! What kindness in this world-we were so touched!!! To feel that there is help and humanity in this sometimes weird world! Thanks so much!!!!!!
We will never forget you - greetings to all Moki's employees!!!
Andrea and Adrian

I went out last night with two friends in San Francisco. As soon as we sat down all 3 of noticed a woman sitting alone at a table in the middle of the restaurant and I just knew she was the one I wanted to give the domino to. When our waiter, David, came over, I gave him the papers and explained it to him and he was initially a little baffled but then got totally excited about the idea. I pointed the woman out to him and then he told us she was actually with someone but they had locked their keys in the car and her friend was outside waiting for help. We all felt like we had picked just the right people! After they finished their meal he brought the domino over to them without telling them who it was from. Then David came back over and told us that he wasn't sure they really understood the concept because they didn't speak very much english (he thought they were possible Swedish?). So I asked him to try to explain it to them more once we left. Hopefully they will continue the topple, but if not, it was great to treat other people to a nice dinner, especially when it turned out they were having car trouble - hopefully it was a bright spot in their night. I hope to get to tip another domino again soon - the whole evening was really fun and inspiring!

I am excited to tip my domino tonight as part of Topple Two Night. I am going out with friends to one of our favorite sushi spots and we are looking forward to finding the right person to tip the domino to. Thanks for letting me a part of the fun!

This Domino was created for Topple Two Night. On May 16, 2008 people all around the country will perform a random act of kindness and buy dinner for a stranger. We hope that the recipients will feel inspired and share their story and pass on the domino.
